The Punjab government has unveiled an ambitious initiative to empower rural women through digital education. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a six-month IT and digital skills training program designed to provide essential technological knowledge to women in remote areas.
Empowering Rural Women with Digital Skills
Under this groundbreaking initiative, 27,000 women from rural Punjab will receive training in various IT-related fields. The goal is to help them build careers in freelancing, tech entrepreneurship, and online business management. The Punjab Skills Development Department will manage the program, ensuring quality training and resources.
Scholarships and Tech Support for Participants
To encourage participation, each selected woman will receive a scholarship during the online training period. Additionally, upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be provided with:
